 Melanie McFaddin - President

Melanie McFaddin, President of The McFaddin|Metis Group, possesses in excess of 22 years of experience in various disciplines within the Professional Services sector and over 16 years in M&A in the space.  She established an Information Technology Services practice at one niche M&A firm and helped found another specialty M&A firms in the Professional Services space.  She has been involved in the consummation of over 45 transactions and involved in numerous others.  She is well known and respected for her expertise and skill in marketing, negotiating, and closing transactions and possesses a tenured, strong, and varied group of industry contacts.

Her other industry experience includes treasury management for Landmark Graphics Corporation, a $200 million multinational, NASDAQ-listed, Information Technology product and services company.  In this capacity Ms. McFaddin was responsible for development of a treasury department and had responsibility for corporate planning and analysis, international business planning, currency and risk management, foreign and domestic trade finance, and cash and investment management. 

 

Prior to her experience at Landmark, she spearheaded the establishment of an Information Technology lending practice for The Toronto Dominion Bank and was instrumental in the formation of the worldwide Project Finance group for Societe Generale, where she was involved in projects in independent power development, chemical plant construction, and other specialized structured financings. 

She has spoken at many of the industry's leading conferences, including TechServe Alliance, The IT Services Business Summit, NTSA, NEAPS, ITAA and Fulcru on topics such as raising private equity, building value and valuation in the IT services sector, and the dynamics of M&A in the professional services sector.  She has also been quoted in publications such as The Atlanta Business Journal, The Houston Business Journal, The Wall Street Reporter, The Daily Deal, Computerwire, Corporate Financing Week, Consulting Wire and Bloomberg News.

 

She holds both a BBA and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.
