 The McFaddin|Metis Group, through its partnership with &Partners, is a FINRA-Licensed, middle-market practice focused on the provision of M&A services to entrepreneurially owned and operated businesses whose value is derived largely by the intangible of human capital.

OUR M&A PRINCIPAL - MELANIE MCFADDIN

 Melanie McFaddin possesses over 40 years of aggregate business experience in the space, including 30 years specifically in M&A. Her areas of expertise include deal valuation, structural dynamics,  operational metrics, and value drivers for human capital companies, and marketing and negotiations.  She has been involved in the consummation of over 75 transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $1Bn, and has consulted on many others. She possesses a tenured, strong, and varied group of industry-specific contacts, both strategic and financial, who look to her to bring strong M&A candidates.

 

Her other industry experience includes treasury management for Landmark Graphics Corporation, a $200MM multinational, NASDAQ-listed, IT product and services company that was sold to Halliburton. In this capacity, she was responsible for the establishment and management of the treasury department, corporate planning and analysis, international business planning, currency and risk management, foreign and domestic trade finance, cash and investment management, and M&A assistance.


Prior to this, she spearheaded the establishment of an IT lending practice for The Toronto Dominion Bank where she worked with such firms as Sun Microsystems, Advanced Micro Devices and Apple. She also worked with an impressive list of other clients, including Avery Dennison, Tenneco, Browning Ferris Industries, and EDS. 

Prior to TD she was instrumental in the formation of the worldwide Project Finance group for Societe Generale, where she was involved in projects in independent power development, chemical plant construction, and other specialized structured financings working with clients such as Cogentrix, Westlake Petrochemicals, and James River.


She has spoken at many industry-specific conferences, has been quoted in notable publications and featured on CNN and in Bloomberg News. She holds both a BBA and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, as well as FINRA Series 24, 7, 79, and 63 licenses.
